Not a 4 star hotel

We checked in and out the same day. Were very disappointed in the rooms. Almost a carbon copy of a Courtyard with smaller bathroom. The patio was very tiny. There was only 1 restaurant on site and no beachfront. The daily parking rate of $22 was the only thing upscale about the place.

perfect weather made the stay even more wonderful. Came with my teenage daughter and we enjoyed the spa and pool. Nearby shopping is also a bonus. Comfy bedding and service was very good. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the Hotel

I came with 4 of my friends for Spring Break, I loved the place. The shower felt great and the room overall was nice. We had a balcony that faced the resort and nearby homes, great view and the balcony was large. I would DEFINITELY come back. I'm actually thinking of doing so next year.

Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa

This was a beautiful location for a wedding! We had stayed in LA the night before and drove there, as it's only about an hour from LA, located between LA and San Diego (closest airport is John Wayne). The hotel is right on the water in lovely sunny Southern California (you can't beat the sunny, rain-free weather!). It's located on top of a cliff and has amazing views of the ocean.

The rooms have balconies that look out on the water, and the furniture in the rooms is decorated with sea colors, like striped blues--very beachy! There are also two lovely outdoor heated pool/whirlpool and deck areas as well. The restaurant (Regatta Grill) and bar (Commodore's Bar) areas were always very crowded with lots of guests and ample outdoor seating. Seafood was prominently represented on the menus. It's also a resort and spa with golf and tennis and offers massages and other body treatments. We only wish we could have spent more time there exploring!
