One of the worst hotels I've ever been to...

The front desk staff were very rude and inattentive ... clerk would rather talk on the phone to her friends than help us. We arrived very late and were tired but had to wait for her conversation to end. Hotel lost our ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE reservation and demanded to charge my card a second time, even with itinerary in-hand showing I already paid Travelocity. Hotel lobby was cute and old-fashioned, but there was nothing cute about the room. The room was freezing and the windows wouldn't close. It's middle of winter out and the heater wouldn't work. Called maintenance ... they fixed the heater but window still wouldn't close. Froze all night. The heater in the bathroom was shooting sparks when we turned it on to warm up. We asked for more blankets and pillows and was only given two when we had asked for several. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bathrooms need severe remodeling. Several lights were out all though the room, but we didn't want to bug maintenance any more so we sat in almost complete darkness. We had to leave the bathroom door open when we showered so we could see. Hotel did not provide basic commodities like soap and shampoo, but at least they had ample hot water. After such a rough night in our room, we looked forward to at least a hot breakfast. To say the free continental breakfast was lacking is an understatement. We had a glass of orange juice and went elsewhere. The absolute best part of our experience was check-out and seeing this hotel in the rear-view mirror. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again and would advise anyone else not to either. Definitely NO value for your money. I'd venture to say Motel 6 is a better alternative ...

The staff were very unprofessional and they issued breakfast vouchers to a restaurant that do not even have breakfast served. The location is very good and the suite are sizable. But the building is not very well kept up and again, the staff is not very well trained. There are people lingering in front of the hotel which houses a bar and the music is blasted until late night.

Ben Lomond Hotel Review

The Ben Lomond hotel in Ogden, Utah was one of the greatest hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff was very knowledgeable of the hotel and the surrounding area. We stayed in a two room suite - there was lots of space and it was kept in a surprisingly clean condition. The hotel is located on a historic street in Utah which had a great atmosphere. We stayed at the hotel for a ski/snow board trip. The hotel arranged shuttles to/from the airport and the mountains which was great so there was no need to rent a car. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone no matter what brings you to Ogden, Utah!

What a great hotel. Has a huge history to it. Fun to see all the old features and ceilings.
