We booked a room for a family of five and were given a room with one double bed in it. When we asked why they said the room had been converted to a handicapped room but you could not tell it on their computer. We managed to squeeze everyone in the room on roll away beds since no other room was available. At 11 pm, when our children were asleep, the manager burst into the room saying we were not checked in. Upon seeing us he realized he was mistaken. He scared our children half to death. The hotel never apologized.

A lot of history has been made at this old hotel but the accommodations are luxurious. And if you are planning a trip to Mobile during Mardi Gras, then this is the hotel to stay in. The parades go right past your front door.
