my stay was excellent. Everything I needed and wanted was available. It might be a little out of the way from places of interest but well worth the stay.

We just got back from a cruise and we decided to stay in Miami a couple of extra days, I did my research on hotels in Miami on a on line travel website, and I do pay attention to the traveler's reviews, I found Intercontinental Hotel, we liked the price and the reviews. To make a long story short, This is a very nice hotel, with nice rooms, and very clean, But we would like to pin point one employee, the Guest Service Manager X, with out his professional help we would have not known where to or what to do in Miami. Every event he set us up with made this the perfect 48hr stay in Miami. So when you book your stay here ask for Victor he will help you with just about anything.
The only negative side is the hallways are very air-conditioned

I truly enjoyed everything about this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I did have to call for the airport shuttle and wait, although I was told that it automatically came every 20 minutes. The driver was nice and provided me with a bottle of water for my wait. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted and everyone was eager to assist and take my bags. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated and comfortable. Toiletries and amenities were nice. I enjoyed the showerhead. I did go downstairs for a late night snack. It was okay. The calamari was a little greasy and the chicken sandwich a little dry. However, the menu seemed to offer a variety of options. Checking out the next morning was quick and easy. My traveling companion had valet parked for free. The car was brought to us quickly, bags were loaded, and directions given to us. I truly enjoyed my stay. The only down side was the location. This hotel seems to be on the back side of the airport and is not as close to many of the things we like to do in Miami. So, I am not sure if I would stay here if I was on longer trip. I may look at the other Intercontinental location. Although it seems that parking at that location is expensive.

I was visiting Miami for a meeting which was taking place in this hotel. I found the hotel and the meeting facilities to be wonderful and the bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I highly recommend the shuttle service from the airport. It was very convenient and saved me from having to rent a car or fight for other transortation.
Great place with a couple caveats

Overall, our stay was excellent. Nice rooms and baths, basic cable...it's got what you need. Check address carefully in comparison to where you want to spend your time - not as close to the beach as others (but doable if you have rental car). Parking is included which some have griped about at other hotels BUT hotel is located near toll road and unless you ask locals, you'll probably end up spending several dollars per trip if you don't plan ahead. Major difficulty with printer in business center and customer service was unresponsive, but it was 1:00 in the morning.
