Great stay during cherry blossom festival!

Very pleased with the stay. I recommend joining their Select Guest program - you'll get free coffe and tea in the morning in your room and turndown service. The chocolate on the pillow and the weather card every night was a nice suprise. The only complaint was that the doors need some type of device to keep them from slamming when they close. Overall, a great stay and my husband and I would stay there again.

I truly enjoyed the gorgeous lobby and its "political" ambiance. The rooms were large and comfy. The only negative was the lack of towels on my first night.

location was great

Perfect if you have kids, right by the zoo.1 block from metro was great, CVS and McDonalds right across street .If you jump on metro you are on the red line and the union station is also on same line tons of places to eat!! the desk helped with sales of trolly tickets for sight seeing and the pickup spot is just one blk away from hotel. service was nice we needed a new remote for our tv we got it in about 5 min. rooms a little dated but clean, need to have softer sheets more like a 3 star on that note. hotel has the feeling that history had been made there and if the walls could talk...

Needs improvement

Concierge was the most helpful. For a 4-star the rooms really need a facelift. Rooms looked old. Bathroom sink had a huge crack in it. Wallpaper peeling on edges. Only good thing was the trolly around the town and the National Zoo being walking distance. Need a more friendly atmosphere to get a drink and bite to eat without costing $$$. Never once ate there, menu didn't look good. Never felt like the customer. Felt rushed when checking in and out by the outside workers. Parking for 4 days was $70 and NOT valet. Won't go back.
