The Andersons in DC and Chcago

The huge car that AVIS rented us made for a comfy road trip into DC. The OMNI SHOREHAM HOTEL!!! There aren't enough words to describe the hospitality, the splendor, the convenience, or the comfort. There was X the bellman, who treated William like a prince, The doormen made us feel so important. X the concierge, who made sure we found everythng we needed. What a great view ofthe hotels gardens AND Rock Creek Park. I do wish we (I) had known to apply for tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll though; especially since the trip was all about William reliving our trip to the inauguation of President Obama. I hope they get the chance to meet. We tried to do eveything, but didn't have enough time. The double-decker bus tours, thesghts, the history lessons relived, the dining, the people. Eat at Open City, the Woodley Cafe, America, B Smith's; and are there really that many people who need that many Starbuck's? The OMNI SHOREHAM HOTEL..in a word-The Bomb! Took the AMTRAK to Chicago from DC. Met Octavia in the dining car. The trip was friendly and comfy. 18 hours long though.

Second time there, and still loved it!!!

Our family goes to DC every year for the National Book Festival. We have stayed in several places near the Mall, Dupont Circle, Woodley Park. This is by far our favorite in this price range. Everyone is very friendly and it is extremely convenient to a wide variety of dining options as well as the Metro. There is a lot of history at the hotel as well, so that makes it kind of neat for my eight year old daughter. This has become our DC hotel of choice.

Great hotel!

The food was excellent and Great Martini's! I am coming back for sure! Great service from the doormen, front desk and restaurant staff!

5 minutes after check-in to this beautiful room we were lounging in our super-comfy beds when room service came to bring complimentary milk and warm chocolate chip cookies for our kids. Tell me how I'm going to get them to stay in a different hotel chain now....?! Staff was great. Pool is phenomenal--good for splashing with the kids and long enough for an early morning workout too. Convenient to the zoo and the Metro station. I'll be staying here again--

worst hotel experience ever

There was a poop stain on one of the bed's sheets, so I slept on the clean one. The room was drafty and cold. And the restaurant's was way too expensive for the poor selection.
