I Would Avoid This Hyatt at All Costs

I recently stayed at this property for a convention/meeting and it was nothing short of terrible. First of all, I am not a very picky traveler so I don't expect the world but this place was just pitiful. First of all, the design of the hotel is ridiculous since it's designed like an apartment with separate buildings making it necessary to walk long distances outside when going to the gym, restaurants or meetings. This also garanteed an inch of water at my door whenever it rained. The gym had no towels and overflowing trash on more than one occassion. The hotel served diet drinks that were about 18 months beyond the expiration date. Several members of our party had to be moved more than once for a variety of room problems. My room was clean but was something more along the lines of a standard hotel. I found out later on that other members of our party were booked in two room/1.5 bath suites for the same price. However, we both payed the same price which was actually more than any on-line booking service I've seen!
The phone message light blinked for an entire week even though there was no message. The television reception was something along the lines of rabbit ears and the hotel was apparently unwilling to do anything to fix it since several people had complained and nothing was done. The highlight of the week was when the fire alarm went off during the meeting and then later at 12:30, 2:00 and 2:30 AM. Did the Hyatt think to comp the room or offer a voucher for a free weekend? They felt that turn-down service and taking $50 off of a $**** bill was sufficient.
In conclusion, avoid this hotel!
Exceeded our expectations

Resort was wonderful! The room was immaculate, the beds super comfy and the down comforters very nice! The pool area was outstanding - we said why go to Hawaii when we can come here?! Staff was excellent - the bartender remembered us from the night before and what we were drinking. The gym is not your typical hotel fitness center! It was high quality equipment, as good as a gym that you would pay a membership fee to! We would definately go back!
This is a great hotel.

Located in nice, quiet suburban area, about 20 - 30 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale and the airport. Great location for day trips to all areas in south Florida. Plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and other shops nearby. Friendly staff. Very nice rooms and facilities. Very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our room had a kitchenette with a sink, mini fridge, microwave and stove top with 2 burners. It also came with two glasses and nothing else. No utensils, no pots, no dishes, nothing. The staybridge suites and homewood suites I've stayed at before have all those things at a much lower price. Will not stay here again.
Would come back again.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff and service were excellent! The pool and spa are lovely. Drinks are expensive but the rooms have a refrigerator so we went to the liquor store and brought our drinks to the pool one afternoon. The hotel is at a good location and we drove to various places such as the Butterfly Garden, South Beach, etc. There were families and business people there so it is mixed. I would definitely come back!
