A Charming Place to Stay in the heart of Annapolis

My wife and I stayed here for two nights, and were very pleased with the experience. Unlike X from Altoona, we were there during the week, so parking was a little more complicated. You can pull up to the Inn to unload on State Circle, but the only parking is in the central garage off the main street -- about 300 yards away. They do offer a discount for parking, so I think two days cost us less that $20. The great thing about Annapolis is that once you have parked your car, you can walk everywhere and don't need it again until you leave. We had a very nice dinner the first night at Federal House, and dinner at Phillip's on the dockside was good the second night, albeit a bit hot in July. Acme Bar & Grill is a fun little place for lunch, and looks like fun in the evenings. As for the Inn, itself, we were very pleased. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Chesapeake room, which is a very cozy room on the third floor, with a King size bed and nice views of the State House and Annapolis, itself. As X from Altoona said, the bathroom is a bit worn and the tub needs a little TLC, but everything works. No mini-fridge in the room, but they have free cold drinks and ice downstairs. The King George room next to the Chesapeake room actually looked to be the nicer room, and the views to the center are great. All-in-all, we highly recommend this little jewel in Annapolis, especially if you want a quiet, romantic get-a-way surrounded by charm and history.

Naval Academy Wedding

We found this Inn online and read the comments others left, which we found extremely helpful. One tip that another traveller had posted was about parking during your stay in Annapolis. On the weekends, you are allowed to park on the opposite side of the street from where the Inn is located. This was perfect because we parked and walked everywhere. We attended a wedding at the Naval Academy, which was only a few blocks walk from the Inn. The Inn is also located on the backside of Main Street, which is where all the shops and restraurants are located. Surprisingly quiet for where it is located and a great little front porch and patio area where we enjoyed the evenings. Breakfast was very nice, with smoked salmon, cheeses, and lots of fruit available. Cafe Normandy, a french restraurant that is a half block from the Inn is a great place to have a wonderful dinner and they also serve breakfast, which is important because there is only one other place we found downtown that serves breakfast. The Cheasapeke room was very nice size and the kingsize bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was worn and the tub needs some TLC but it worked out very well for us. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the Inn experience and convenience of the location.
