Scary, filthy, bait & switch

We didn't have a chance to book through Travel agency on this one. The CHOICE HOTELS GUIDE said that the Quality Inn & Suites accepted pets, but when we called, they said they didn't.....but they'd transfer us to their "sister property" next door and that we'd have to have a smoking room. We figured a name-brand chain would have good standards throughout. WRONG. We checked in, then went to dinner. Big mistake. By the time we went to the room, it was late and dark. Some of the lightbulbs were gone, so we didn't notice immediately how filthy the room was. It smelled badly. Later, we noticed that there were stains running down the walls, cobwebs, the bathtub dripped all night and was rusty, the sink was rusted, the walls had holes in them, the air vent was filthy with greasy dust.....and there was ONLY TEPID WATER THE NEXT MORNING. The parking lot was full of broken glass, making it scary for us to walk the dog into the only gravel area (with electrical connections!) available. No grass in back. There was no way we'd want to eat their doughnuts the next morning, since this place was so nasty. This would have been our SECOND NIGHT in Choice Hotels' "stay two get one free" promo...but they wouldn't even take our account number for the points and said that "Econo Lodge is NOT part of Choice Hotels!" We will be contacting Choice Hotels about this entire situation.

Nothing worse than being lied to by employees.

Before renting a room I asked if they had a pool and breakfast. I was told they had a pool. I was also told that breakfast was from 7-9am. I asked what it included I was told a long list of things. I figured the kids would like some of the things she had told me and the price was reasonable. We got to the room it was rather on the small side. The bathroom had spots on the ceiling and a picture was missing from the wall. Other than that the room was ok. Took the kids to the pool and it was shared with another hotel that was having a reunion and kids were running wild. The hot tub did not work. The next morning I took the kids to get breakfast. It was stale donuts and coffee. I asked the guy working where was the rest of what I was told was served. He laughed. He said all we have is donuts. This was uncalled for. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. The staff could care less about your needs.

Stay elsewhere!

The room we were given first had water on floor, no TV remote, missing lights, missing mirror, non-working phone. It was not ready to be occupied! Second room required lights to be plugged in. An aweful experience!

HORRID STAY

This hotel is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are in major disrepair, the staff is rude at best, and managment is useless. I would rather have stayed in a box!

Not what I expected

Difficult to find building entrance. One light or its switch was out. Pillows very lumpy. Toilet paper rolls kept falling off holder. Smoker next door. No lighting by desk. Dim lights over bed. Window shade fallen off its track.
