This hotel is awesome. This was our second stay. It is in a perfect location, attached to a mall with good food, right accross from public transportation. You don't need a rental car to see Boston. The beds are very comfortable and the staff has always been friendly and very accomodating. This is a pet friendly hotel, if you have allergies tell the hotel so you don't get booked on the 7th floor. That is where the pets can stay.

Overall

Overall quite nice. The staff was outstanding. Two little details---there was no bureau or drawers in our room and I was travelling with two teens. I found out from the front desk that several of the corner rooms apparently did not have the space for this particular item of furniture so the three of us essentially kept our stuff stowed in our travel bags. It wasn't a big deal for us but it did seem a bit odd. Also we all ended up being quite stiff and achey in the morning...the beds were quite soft which for some I guess would not be a problem. Fortunately, we all "loosened up" after 10-15 minutes so..again..no big deal for us. the hotel was totally booked up for our second night so moving to another room wasn't an option. I suppose I would stay there again...but would attempt to get a much firmer mattress the next time.

Cambridge Hotel great location

Stayed at the Marriott Cambridge for a long family weekend. The location is very convenient to the Kendall/MIT Subway station (directly across from the front exit). Short ride to the city or to visit the Harvard Campus. Great views of the city and the Charles River from the upper floors. Comfy bedding, clean room, concierge service for activity suggestions or directions. Fairly quiet location. Legal Seafood is a short walk away. Shuttle service to the Mall. Down sides: small indoor pool crowded with young children on the weekend. Internet service charge and so-so breakfast in MC2. If you are using a GPS for directions, it can be a little confusing as the hotel has two entrances. GPS may direct you to the front entrance. Go one block further and you will arrive at the parking lot, valet entrance. Otherwise, you may find yourself driving in circles! I would highly recommend a stay for its price, value and location.

We'll be back.

Staff extremely friendly and accomodating; didn't even blink when we came in 5 hours early. Our room was ready and they were happy to let us begin our stay. Room was beautiful; bed was amazingly comfortable. Wish we had had more than one day's stay. Hotel could use an economical option to on-site dining.
