Great Place to stay

I was in Eugene on business several times this year. By far my favorite place to stay. I spent about 6 weeks (M-F) there and each visit was pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Rooms have microwave, refrig, sink, dishes, dishwasher, everything you would need. Work out room and equipment in good condition. Never tried the outside pool. The staff was always friendly and anxious to please. You know you travel too much when they know you by name at checkin and ask how the family is doing. Breakfast was very good, great selection with hot foods - eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh oatmeal... Evening "reception" could be a meal in itself with hamburgers, potato bar, nachos... always salad, beer and wine. Great location for walks along the river, McMinnimins across the street. Rooms backing to Coburg Rd could be a little noiser than others, but even they were not bad.
"Nice location, poor value"

Touring colleges with my 17 year old, we loved Eugene, loved walking across the busy street to the river pathways and McNemanins for dinner(spelling wrong but you get the idea) but this hotel was terribly over priced and also right next to the freeway which was audible all night long. We stayed at Red Lions and Silver Cloud's elsewhere - accommodations just as nice, quieter, and more reasonably priced.
