A Wonderful Overnight Stay

I've been to Savannah several times and have stayed at several of the hotels on Bay St and this was the nicest. The service was great, the hotel was new, very clean and comfortable, and the pool was well maintained. The only downside was that it was a few more blocks away from River Street than some of the other options and parking was $15/night.
I would stay here again if it was a cheaper option.
First Time To Savannah

We did not know what to expect. However, we knew we could trust the name of four points. The room we stayed in was the queen suite. The bedroom and the living room both had 37" flat panel tv...very nice. The living room was spacious and the bedroom was very nice. You can tell that the hotel is new. Staff was friendly. The only thing I could criticize is the restaurant...maybe they are still hiring a full staff. The wait for breakfast was a bit long.
Do not stay here!

Where do I begin! First of all the picture of the hotel on this website is misleading. It does not look like that! The hotel backs up against the slums of Savannah. When we looked out our hotel room window all we seen were the slums of Savannah. If I want to see slums I will stay in Jacksonville. Next the hotel is more on the edge of the Historic District, not in it. When my wife and I finally checked into the hotel room we found used ear plugs and no microwave like the website said there would be. My wife and I purposely brought food from home to heat up in the microwave to cut back on costs of eating out. We went to the front desk to request a microwave and we were told they did not have any but only in the suites. We showed the front desk where is says on the website that all rooms have microwaves and they said no they do not only suites do. Because of the misleading info on the website and the used earplugs we asked to be upgraded to a suite and the hotel front desk would not do it without charging us.
Overall we do not believe that we got what we paid for. the room was very small, food at hotel was very over priced ($12 a person for breakfast), hotel front deak not very helpful and location was terrible. Be open and honest on the website and not misleading. Give people a chance to make a informed decision.
A Nice Choice

This new property is easy to find and conveniently located on the fringe of the Historic District. The staff was consistently warm and accommodating. My wife and I were staying free as part of a hotel chain promotion, but I would say that the normal rates are in line with the rest of the neighborhood. The room we were given was not huge, but was nicely appointed and more than adequate for two people. Our only real criticism is that we were both disappointed in the comfort of the bed in an otherwise beautiful facility. My wife in particular has back problems and couldn't get comfortable. Our stay was short, so we didn't have a chance to sample all of the amenities. The dining area and lounge did look attractive and inviting. The only parking choice is on-street (I wouldn't recommend) or valet at $15. This includes in and out service and the attendants were efficient and friendly.
