Circle was a great location

We found the circle to be as most others decribed it. Clean, well kept older hotel. Not a ton of ammenities but superior location. The room was clean, the TV reception was great, the staff was friendly most of the time. the staff was great, a few others were not. Close to lots of restaurants, shopping, fast food. McDonals. Subway, Burger King and KFC are all with a few blocks. We were placed initially in a 3rd floor, partial ocean view room. The tree line really obsured much of the ocean view. After 2 days they were able to move us to the 13th floor and that was awesome. All in all, a cute, funky hotel with lots of charm in an amazing location. Unless you need a lot of frills, it's your best bet for Waikiki. I hope we'll be back soon.

The rooms are small especially the showers but the position is the best, for the price it is great value.

The hotel was ideal. Our balcony had a partial ocean view, it was great going out on the balcony and watching the waves come in. The lady at the tour desk, was so sweet and very helpful with our choice of tours. Very informative and friendly. The front desk was great too, they were all friendly and would answer any question we had and gave us great information on local restaurants and stores. I would definitely recommend it and I would stay there again. There was fresh Kona coffee in the open air lobby every morning. There is no room service but restaurants are right there within walking distance.

Having been coming to this hotel for 15 yrs, I have seen it evolve.. YES! the rooms are small. YES! the bathrooms are also small. BUT...the location and the views are BIG! (The pricing is perfect.) Most importantly, the STAFF is A-One! I find the management ALWAYS tries to accomodate you, the desk clerks are friendly (Jan is a true delight and a gem) and the housekeeping is excellent. I have never had a problem at this hotel. About 4 years ago I was there with my husband who was then in a wheelchair. Again, the staff was fantastic and offerred assistance whenever needed. Rather than just toss beach 'toys' (floats/boogie boards etc.) away when guests leave them, the hotel has them available for all to use. Downsides? Well, there is a homeless problem and you can see it at night all along the beach. Internet is not included and is extra and there is no guest computer station to use so you must bring your own laptop or go to a cybercafe. Also, for longer stays, because of size, there is no dresser , just shelves built into the closet. Parking, while secure, is limited and tight. Will I be back? IF I return to Hawaii......you bet!
