Doesn't honor reservations!!

I made a reservation a week in advance for 2 queen beds, since my husband and I were traveling with our 6' tall 17 yr old son. When we arrived at 9:00 I found they had not honored our reservation and had us in a single king bed room with a roll away. In addition, we were put in a handicap room, which means only one sink and mirror, not good when 3 people are trying to get ready at once, a very low shower head, and a mattress wrapped in plastic, which is very hot to sleep on. The front desk did what they were allowed to do with refunds, 20%,but it didn't help our son sleep any better. I was told the rebook was done by the manager during the day shift, as the staff appeared quite surprised what had happened. While I understand hotels sometimes get over booked, I do expect reservations to be honored or at a minimum a phone call prior to changing the reservation. We got neither.

We drove up from San Diego and made the reservation trough the 800 # from the Holiday Express. Pretty Hotel, Very comfortable rooms, wonderful linens, great staff, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful especially if you have teenagers. Kids loved the indoor Pool and spa.
Recommend this Hotel to anyone. Also the price is right.
Stayed in a near by Hotel before witch has an impressive entry but this was all they had.

If you want to get a good night sleep, don't book this hotel. The audibility from the rooms next to you is great, so if you want peace and quet, book elsewhere. Also, the breakfast they offer is not great.

We drove up from Los Angeles to visit some of the wineries in Paso Robles. We found the Holiday Inn Express online and booked the room. We were a little concerned about the train but booked it anyway because of the location. We stayed for 3 days and never heard the train. It may have gone by, but we never heard it. It certainly didn't shake the building. The hotel staff was wonderful, the breakfast was great and our stay was ultra relaxing. All in all, we had a lot of fun.
