Almost Renovated

I arrived at the hotel, and checked in at the lobby, desk folks seemed nice. What I was unaware of was that the hotel was being renovated and that was not stated anywhere when I made the reservation. There was wet paint, exit signs on the floor, holes in the hallway ceilings. The room smelled terrible, I was not sure of what the smell was. When I spoke with the desk clerk, I told him that I was going out to dinner. He said that they would air the room out and if it still smelled they would change my room. When I returned my eye's burned and my head hurt from the odor. I checked out the next day and had to move to another hotel.

A quiet location in the middle of Silicon Valley. Nice rooms, good service and dinner during the week.

My daughters and I were visiting Santa Clara University and stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel was clean, the rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The location to Santa Clara, San Jose and Palo Alto was a plus. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet was plentiful with fresh food that was replenished continually. Definitely a good deal for the money.
