Wonderful place

We arrived early and were able to check in right away. The room was clean, bed was super comfy, and was very quiet. They provided an excellent full breakfast which we took advantage of and a light supper which we did not have the opportunity to check out.
Room was decorated tastefully. All in all a pleasant experience.

Stayed recently for an overnight business trip. Took hotel courtesy shuttle from airport, but waited 30 minutes for it to arrive though they're only 5 mi away because the desk clerks also are the drivers.
Hotel in an 'eclectic' location west of San Jose airport (read back side), and felt safe enough. El Pollo Loco, Vietnamese Pho restaurant, and Whataburger were within 1 block.
Room was quiet, quite nice, clearly recently remodeled with warm colors, ~36" flat screen on wall, iDock Clock/radio, desk work area, sofa and good bed. They provided a cushioned laptop tray in room for you to use while working in bed. Wireless service was excellent.
Good shower (curved curtain), hot water and amenities. Their free hot breakfast was on the higher end of similar chains...major entrees vary each day, along with usual toast, bagels, rolls, and cereals. They had some regional items such as a rice steamer with associated items.
Would I stay again? Beyond good clean rooms, a major reasons I have enjoyed Hawthorn in my travels was their Hyatt Gold Passport affiliation. Since that relationship has been severed and they are now tied to Westin, I'm not so inclined. But if you're a Westin traveler, good news for you.

We stayed here on for two nights, and glad that we picked this hotel. We went with another family, and got The Great America Package. This was such a deal! It came with Great American tickets,goodie bag for the kids,hot buffet breakfast. We also had dinner on Thursday. From Monday through Thursday they have dinner. The kids loved the smell of fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. Also, we upgraded our Great America tickets and got Season passes. We paid less than thirty dollars. This hotel has so much to offer, and they keep the price low. They also, have a great shuttle service. This hotel has the best customer service. Everyone goes out of their way, to make sure your stay is pleasant. We loved our room! The beds were comfy, and my daughter slept on a sofa bed, and said that was the most comfy one she ever slept on. The house cleaning service was fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, we had a pool view. Everything in the room is done so well, and newly remodeled. The pool was very clean too. We got season passes, and we will be coming back to this Hotel.

Nicely Renovated Rooms Great Price

This hotel is newly renovated and the rooms were very nice and beds were comfortable. The staff was fabulous, rooms very clean and well stocked. This was a short vacation for my husband and I and our two teenage daughters.
We stayed 2 nights. Free breakfast was included Friday and Saturday morning and a light dinner on Thursday night. Food was very good.
Very convenient to have a shuttle to Great America -- Did not have to pay for parking. Downside is last shuttle pickup is 8:00 p m.

On my business trips to Santa Clara I have stayed in few hotels, but on my last visit I stayed in this location. The rooms are renovated and it looks so great. The credit goes to the designers. The furniture, drape, carpet and the room paint are so color matched. And every item in the room is new. I will definitely stay here again. Staffs are very friendly; this is a very clean and well-kept hotel
