Nice Hotel, good price

  • September 5, 2007

Stayed for one night, with inlaws in 2nd room, to visit my new grandson in ATL. Beautiful rooms, spacious, quiet. Wonderful bed with lots of pillows. My husband appreciated the light-blocking drapes. Good price for this class hotel in Atlanta. Not centrally located, but close to the new grandson! We will stay here again.

Renaissance Waverly Hotel

The accommodations were a fairly good-size room with complimentary toiletries. The was a simple indoor swimming pool with a bubbling hot tub. They had a huge atrium that went at least 12 floors. The hotel is the most luxurious hotel I've been to in a long time.

Renaissance Waverly Hotel

When we first moved to the Atlanta area, we spent several nights at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel. It is an atrium-style hotel that is by the Galleria specialty mall on the north side of Atlanta. Like all luxury hotels, it offers spacious rooms and wonderful amenities. I spread out on my comfy bed, perused the room service menu, and watched the TV in its tall armoir one afternoon while I waited for the real estate agent. I thought about visiting the full-service day spa or taking a few laps in the indoor pool.

For anyone in Atlanta for work, there is high-speed Internet access in all the the rooms. A newspaper is delivered every morning, and the staff is responsive and helpful. The 14th floor is locked for "Club Access."

I would recommend the Renaissance to anyone who is looking for nice accommodations on the north side of town. Vinings, with all its wonderful restaurants, is very close by, and good places to eat can also be found on Cobb Parkway if you don't want to eat in the hotel. The Renaissance also participates in the Marriot Rewards Program if you have any points to cash in. AAA has granted the property a four-diamond rating.
