A real letdown

The food was terrible. Some of the stated ingredients on the menu were omitted without even informing the guests. The food had absolutely no flavor. The room was dirty and old. The amenities were substandard for a 4 star hotel.

Picked this hotel because it was close to my location as I drove from Orlando to Jacksonville for a party. Hotel was easy to find and once there I felt very much like a "guest". Valet was awesome, checking in was a breeze and room service arrived in less than 15 minutes and I checked in close to 11:00PM. My room was on 15th floor, decor was very nice and the room was very clean. I loved the robe! The in-room food/drink items were VERY pricey, more like NYC than FL but that was expected. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this hotel and certainly would visit again. P.S>. Express check was great, did not even have to stop by the desk!

Visited to enjoy Jacksonville Riverfront. Area was worth the trip. Hotel was not worth the price. Mold in bathroom triggered allergies. Hotel only interested in charging for each service. Could not use refrig in room unless you got key from desk. Parking was $15 for a Saturday night. Maid opened door at 9am. Not what I expected, not a value for the price.
Omni Jacksonville Hotel

The Omni Jacksonville Hotel is a higher priced hotel, but is situated in a wonderful location near Jacksonville Landing on the St. John river. Parts of the hotel appear to be newly remodeled while other areas need some work.
The individual rooms are quite cozy and include the common amenities that you would expect from the Omni chain. The daily house keeping service ran at odd times (my room was not cleaned until after 4 pm). However, I must say that the housekeeping staff were willing and able to help with any request. One housekeeper even offered to get me a beverage from their break room (at the employee rate) when the Coke Machine was sold out.
The hotel has a "Southern Iced Tea" and fruit service every day available in the lobby; something uncommon in this class of hotel, but it was greatly appreciated in the Florida heat and artfully arranged.
