Wonderful location with homelike feel.

The Thousand Hills 2-bdrm condo my brother and our spouses discovered was in "The Legacy" region of the resort. Wonderful location just behind the Grand Palace Theatre in central Branson, yet tucked into the Golf Course affording a relaxing wooded view. Be sure to ask for the parking lot level rooms because the upstairs and downstairs condos are somewhat of a bother if toting luggage. Having a sleeper sofa in the living area and an "extra" hall closet, our condo could have just as easily handled 3 couples instead of our two. The initial appearance of our condo was as if the owners had just stepped away--definitely a homelike feel. The condo was only "missing" food in the fullsize frig and clothes in the dressers and closets to prove that we had not accidently walked into someone's home! The 2 bathrooms--one including a walk-in shower!--were thoughtfully provided with the resort style essentials experienced in finer hotels. "Home-cooked" meals were easily prepared in the stocked fullsize kitchen with plentiful counter space allowing for my brother's tasty but messy culinary talents. (Before we arrived, the place was spotlessly clean!) The king-sized beds were delightful--providing a suitable night's end for each of our busy days. The ceiling fans in each room also offered a refreshing feel that added to our comfort. The washer-dryer combo referenced in other reviews came provided with laundry detergent; an unexpected surprise. But the highlight of our golfcourse-side condo was the screened outside patio! Ahh, we never realized a morning cup of coffee could taste so good.... One downside warning about this condo though: it is too teasingly close to the outlet malls--forcing us to exercise our credit cards more than we had anticipated!

Best Place to Stay

Our family recently stayed at the Thousand Hills cabins. We rented a 2bd/2bth, it was absoultely wonderful. It's close enough to all the activities we wanted to do, but at night when we wanted to relax it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful.
We have 2 kids - 10 and 14yrs, they even enjoyed it. I would most
definitely recommend staying at "The Cabins". The accomen-dations are superb and all the amenities are just like home.

The Cabins at grand Mountain are a MUST STAY!!!!

The Cabins have it all, and I mean everything down to soap for dishwasher. Nothing was lacking, very clean, and everything worked perfectly. Great value for the money, and only two minutes from the Rt 76 action. We were more than pleased, and will certainly stay again.

Very Happy With Our Choice

We have been to Branson many times. This was our first time to stay at 1000 Hills. The men in our family golfed and were very happy with the facilities and the course. The in-door pool was very nice and clean. Our room was clean. You do have to wash your towels, but they have a washer and dryer in the condo, or pay a fee to get new ones each day. The condo was very large and very clean. The beds were great and we are very picky about cleanliness and beds. Our condo had an enclosed sun porch to sit in that overlooked the golf course. The only downside was that we were not close to an outdoor pool and it was kind of hard to get out onto the main street from our hotel due to the traffic.

I actually worked here for a period of time so I was able to see many of the various rooms offered. This is a 3 diamond resort, however, the only reason it is not 4 diamond is that they do not have a full service restaurant on site, they do have all of the other things required for this level.

The cabins are perfect for those who want to feel like they are away from it all. They are situated right off of the strip in downtown Branson but when standing on the front or back porch you would never know, all you see is other cabins and trees.

The condos are either deluxe, which is older, though still nice they are generally dated with 1980s decor and appliances. Or Premiere, more expensive but most are only a few years old to brand new, with up to date furnishings, and higher end details. They have everything from motel rooms to 4 bedrooms, the cabins fill up fast!
