I have stayed in some horrible hotels in my day, but THIS ONE is the worst. The location was great, the lobby was great....the room was unbelievably HORRIBLE. The carpet was so dirty it was slick, the outlet covers were missing, the hairdryer had been snatched from the wall. I was so so so disappointed. Maybe it was the room we were given? I don't know...we asked for a different room, but they were booked. I think the bed was clean?? I hope so. Anyway, for a historical hotel on the historical register, it was awful! :(

Our room was on the 5th floor. It turns out that every Fri and Sat night, there is all night partying going on on Granby St. The alley amplifies the sounds from the streets and you can hear everything until about 3-4:00 in the morning. Then the revelers returning to the hotel can be heard due to the thinness of the walls. So, if you are a lite sleeper, expect to be kept awake until around 5-6:00 in the morning.

Great place to stay for downtown Norfolk activities. Ice machine was broken but they had a cooler at the front desk. No secured parking, but a City garage is very close. Great staff. For the money you can't go wrong would stay again.

I had a great time with my mom, we went to the resaraunt downstairs and had a ball! Try it out and have fun!

Older hotel in Downtown. Charming and clean. Excellent breakfast offering. Walk to MacArthur Mall, U.s.s Wisconsin, etc. Super value with accommodating and friendly staff.
