Quote: I have stayed in some horrible hotels in my day, but THIS ONE is the worst. The location was great, the lobby was great....the room was unbelievably HORRIBLE. The carpet was so dirty it was slick, the outlet covers were missing, the hairdryer had... Read the full Tazewell Hotel And Suites review

Very Noisy

Quote: Our room was on the 5th floor. It turns out that every Fri and Sat night, there is all night partying going on on Granby St. The alley amplifies the sounds from the streets and you can hear everything until about 3-4:00 in the morning. Then the... Read the full Tazewell Hotel And Suites review

Oldie but Goodie

Quote: Great place to stay for downtown Norfolk activities. Ice machine was broken but they had a cooler at the front desk. No secured parking, but a City garage is very close. Great staff. For the money you can't go wrong would stay again.

Quote: Older hotel in Downtown. Charming and clean. Excellent breakfast offering. Walk to MacArthur Mall, U.s.s Wisconsin, etc. Super value with accommodating and friendly staff.

Charming Hotel

  • August 5, 2007
Quote: This is an old hotel that has been well renovated, so you get old fancy hotel charm and modern convenience together. If you've ever traveled in Europe, it's very similar to some of the nicer hotels there. The room was small, but comfortable. The... Read the full Tazewell Hotel And Suites review

Hotel was okay

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • August 2, 2006
Quote: Location near waterfront. Only a few blocks away from several tourist locations and restaurants. Parking was two blocks away. You can load/unload car in front of hotel. Bathroom was spacious and may have been recently redone, carpeting was clean... Read the full Tazewell Hotel And Suites review

Disappointing Value

  • 2 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • April 27, 2006
Quote: The good news is that the location is wonderful: walking distance to downtown attractions, adjacent to an array of dining and nightlife experiences. The downside included a moldy smelling lobby, no morning hot water, smelly towels, holes in... Read the full Tazewell Hotel And Suites review
