1 block from campus and downtown Davis, comfortable

While I was recently in Davis for a wedding, I found the Aggie Inn comfortable and accommodating. Their location is ideal so near campus and the eating options of downtown Davis. Parking lot is a little tight so be cautious when entering or leaving. Only drawback is there is no elevator -- a problem if you are disabled (as one of our party was) and have a room on the second floor. Wi-Fi in the rooms is sketchy but reception has a computer for public use.
Aggie Inn: Nice But Needs Some Updating

I have stayed here a few times over the past 3 years while on trips to evaluate UC Davis for my son. It is very convienient becasue it is so close to the campus and their rates are pretty fair for the size of the room. But during this last stay in a Jacuzzi King Cottage the room really showed signs of wear. Its time they repaint, recarpet, update the fixtures and at least recover the stained furnishings.
