Made a resevation in person on Wednesday for Thursday garanteed it with a cedit card when i arrived late on Thursday they had gave my room away so they set me up at another hotel down the road for the same price it was a dump. Come to find out this hotel was owned by the same guy he did the old bait and switch. I would not stay there you would never know if your going to have a room or not.

Was pleasantly Surprised!

We arrived at the hotel on a sunday afternoon. It was a busy time for the lobby personnel. They were fast, courteous and polite. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The rooms were nice, the pool area was well maintained, and the outside area with the creek and ducks was relaxing to watch. A good place for the money and for anyone of any age or family size. I didnt personally see any negatives, but use your own judgement. I know it is a couple miles away from Dollywood, but worth the drive to stay in a restful, clean ,well managed place.

Beware!

We are currently staying here for a three day stay. We called the hotel directly to request adjoining rooms at the time our reservations were made and were guaranteed. Upon check in with the hotel staff we were informed that there was no record of our request and that there was no availability. However, the man checking us in, informed us that rooms were assigned first come first serve. There were adjoining rooms available, however he would not assign us to one of those rooms. As we were standing in line, other check in staff were telling another family about two options they had for adjoining rooms. We found Adam to be very rude and not accomodating. This is a family vacation we have been looking forward to for many months. However, due to the poor service we have received, we are not only staying in non-adjoinging rooms, but the rooms are on different floors and in different buildings. We are very disappointed by our experience thus far and will definately be checking out at the end of our three nights and moving on to another hotel.

Great Location, Good Value but Not Perfect

We spent one night at this hotel & it was a great location, good value but it had some downfalls. The Location was wonderful, near traffic light #2. It was walking distance (under 1/2 mile) to a few restaurants and shops. There was a trolley stop right infront of the hotel. The Tanger and Beltz outlet malls were very convenient to the hotel. However it is a fair distance away from Dollywood and the most developed portion of the Parkway. And next door to a Pigeon Forge welcome center. It was a Good Value. We paid $**-ish the night we stayed. The rooms were clean, everything functioned. The property is well maintained and the view (get a River side room!) was beautiful. There were picnic tables by the river and it was secluded from the traffic. The pool and hottub area was nice. But it wasn't Perfect. The bedspreads were outdated making the room feel kind of old. The pool area was nice, but the hottub was somewhat small. The rooms were also small. We had a room with a King bed and jacuzzi tub. The tub was in the main part of the room, the tv was in an odd place making it difficult to viewfrom the bed. We took our daughter's pack and play crib and to have space for it we had to move a bedside table and place it directly beside our bed.

Made Christmas Fantastic!

We stayed at this hotel for the first time for a family trip last Christmas. It was cool. The only thing that bothered us was that the house keeping seemed non-existent after we checked in. They woke us up with wanting to clean, so we quickly left for the nice indoor pool and let the house keeper in. When we got back 3 hours later (our kid loves the water), and nothing had been done but given new towels--no clean sheets, no empty trash cans, etc. We had to call the desk to get someone sent up just to tidy up the room. We traveled with another couple and they stayed at a major hotel chain in Gatlinburg...they loved our room and were jealous because the room was built to be a mini suite. We were jealous at their breakfast--Belgian waffles, bacon, sausage, and standard continental breakfast items. Econo Lodge for some reason thinks that people only want to eat bread stuffs for breakfast so ours sucked. A bunch of bagels, muffins, etc filled up a basket...so we HAD to buy breakfast. Well, we are looking to stay there again for this Christmas. We have been to a few hotels in the area...and as long as the room is clean, the other issues are minor compared since the room and property was so nice. I do agree with other reviewers that the table blocks the a/c and the bed blocks the table. That's true. We had to climb over the bed to get to the other side--embarrassing and uncomfortable when having company over! Overall, we will return!
