This hotel is worth the money and more! When you walk in the front door they have a beautiful glass elevator and modernized furniture in the lobby area. The beds are extremely comfortable and when you check in they even pass out warm walnut chocolate chip cookies! (which my husband loved) They are even doing more renovations to the place by adding another restraunt and bar area. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!
Big shock like walking in to a palace.

Great hotel. Would Live there. Best stay of the trip by light years. We also love the Doubletree in Tucson, AZ

The hotel was fine, but 2 things happened. The hot tub doesn't work. We were told by staff that it hadn't worked for months & no one knew when the pool guy would be back. All rooms are supposed to have a hair dryer. We called the front desk for one and 3 hours later, we still didn't have one. The lady at the front dest brought it up herself. The room was fine except the bathtub could use more cleaning.
The Hawthorn has gotten old.

I only have 100 words so I will make this quick. The lobby is nice. In my room, the sofa was torn, there was mold on ceiling tile (Large spot), the towel rack is in the shower, the TV remote batteries were dead, there was no soap in the bathroom, the furniture is cheap. The bed was nice. The staff is friendly but average. Old but decent hotel. 3 stars??? No way.

Impressive atrium. Great, comfortable beds. Nice size rooms. I like the TV in the bathroom!
