This is a great location - in the middle of everything and one block away from the beach. I was planning on renting a car, but I didn't need it. The city bus takes you every where and the tour deals are great! Save your money don't spend it on the car rental and parking fees. The hotel stuff was very friendly. The only thing was the hot tub was broken for the whole time I stayed in????? I was not convinced they were in any hury to fix it, but probably didn't want to maintain it? I suggest you stay here if you are looking for something with good price, clean and great location, just call and make sure all the facilities are up and running.
Can get better hotel for the same money

We stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise and then moved to The Waikikir Resort Hotel after the cruise. Much better for the little cheaper price!!! Waikiki Resort only has a kitchenette (microwave and small fridge) BUT much cleaner and newer!!!The Pacific Monarch is just a old run-down converted condo. Stay at your own risk!!!
Great location, clean and secure and friendly desk staff

The Pacific Monarch was more than we expected, great location, city bus and tour buses picked you up right in front, no need to rent a car, beach, shopping, dining, and groceries all within a few blocks. Very clean and friendly hotel staff. Kitchen was nice, had coffee in the room and a newspaper at the door every morning.

This place was great - was a little tricky to find at night when you've been on a flight for 14 hours - but after arriving it was worth it!! The view from the 31st floor window was absolutely incredible - kept waking up all night and looking out over the city. Wish we could have stayed here longer - will definitely pick this place to stay again.
