I arrived late and they promptly gave me a room... There was a slight snafu, however, when my expected roommate never showed up - turns out she had gotten there before me and they had given her a separate room! However, the staff was able to fix the problem in the morning. breakfast was included but was fairly limited. We were told there was wireless internet access from the dining room, but I was unable to connect. The location is unbeatable - right around the corner from Union Square and within a few blocks of the nearest subway stop. Overall a good stay for the price.

I've stayed in nicer boutique hotels in San Francisco, but I've also stayed in far worse. A small but well renovated hotel, rooms are small but have modern fixtures throughout, brightly decorated and clean with nice towels, soaps and shampoo. Location is superb - hard to do better at very reasonable prices.

Great location!!!Can't state that enough!I expected a small room from other reviews, but never really expected what I saw!Only room to walk around the bed!I felt a little claustrophobic in there!Yummy/warm muffins in morning.Fantastic location!Wouldn't stay there again because I would like a little more, but great for last minute trip to SF.Nothing wrong with place, but small is an understatement!!
