4 night stay-June 2009

Overall, i would definitely stay at this hotel again. The refrigerator was pretty big, the microwave came in handy, and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were not luxurious but definitely were clean and the staff did a great job keeping them that way. The pool was heated and had a jacuzzi also. There were trains running real close to the hotel, especially since we had a room towards the front(where the traintracks are). There were no horns blowing, though, and it didn't bother us in the least bit. In fact, my kids diddn't even know until I mentioned it(I had read about it in other reviewsw before I left).

We stayed 2 nights in a king room, and our kids were moved to a room with a jacuzzi when the first room they got was a smoky one...we'd requested non-smoking. No problem with the switch. The motel's doors all open into an interior courtyard with pool & playground(not that it was open in March!) Refrigerator was generous size, and TV, coffeemaker, and microwave all in good shape. Room had a hide-a-bed and a recliner, plus one more chair. Sink was outside bathroom, a good design. Continental breakfast had limited selection, but was better than some I've had. There is frequent train traffic across the road, but it's not too noisy...tracks are about 100 yards from front of motel. Close to Cedar Point, mall, and downtown. Not plush, but very serviceable.

Not worth the money

This hotel is ojk, but it isn't anything special. The staff was great, especially Tim who ran the breakfast and the afternoon shuttle from Cedar Point. This hotel is pretty well situated, close to Cedar Point and the other attractions. The room was clean, but not spotless. It had a faint odor of smoke and wet dog.. Also, nowhere is there mention of the train tracks directly across the street and train whistles blowing at all hours of the day and night, On the second morning of our stay I went into the bathroom to discover the maid had thrown away all of our toiletries. Not a bad place, but not one that I would put at the top of my list either. I expected just a bit better for $$$ +night.
