If you want a fun place to stay while in Duluth it's The Edge. When I was checking in I was greeted very warmly, professionally by the desk clerk, Wow did they ever make me feel my business was appreciated and I was a welcomed guest. The grounds are immaculate with a breath taking view of the lake, spend the extra cash a get a lake side view it's worth every penney. The water park is just plain alot of fun for young and old, get ready for the water tunnels and the lazy river. Or head out-side for the out door pool and whirl pool, crowded but hey we are all on vacation so relax and enjoy yourself. If your not into getting wet head to the basketball court, or mini putt, walk along lake path or the hotelwill supply you with a bike to do your exploring. The hotel rooms are spotless, roomy and very comfortable beds. Breakfast is delicious. Shuttle service also. The Edge exceeded my expectations for accommodations and customer service. Thank-you.

We regularly go to the Edgewater. Staff is great. Our 3.5 year old daughter love the indoor water park. Two Thumbs up.

The overall stay was wonderfull. Extremly friendly staff, great housekeeping!!! There were small things like the noisy heater and the noise outside the room at night but they can be overlooked. The only thing I didnt like was how crowede it was in the pool area. Threre wasent any chairs to sit in but my child had a great time and thats what counted. Thank you Edge Water!!!
Impressive life guards at this water park

I have rarely seen lifeguards as attentive as we did at this water park. I was more than impressed. The water park was clean and most importantly- WARM enough. Our room, a two room suite was nice for our family of six. Lakeview room is more of a view of the road with the lake in the distance but we didn't mind too much, it was too cold to sit out there anyway. Breakfast was okay, long lines. All in all, as far as family weekends go, I would go back for sure!
Will go to Owatonna or Dells next time.

My experience at the Edgewater resort and water park was disappointing.
On a recent business trip I booked away from the conference hotel to bring my wife and 8 year old son to the Edge?. When I explained that they would like to stay at the water park into the early afternoon, after checkout, I was told that checkout time was 12 noon and they would have to pay half the normal room rate for continued admittance after that ? we weren?t able to arrive until 20 minutes before pool closing the night before after driving to Duluth from the south Twin Cities. Front desk staff and management unsympathetic.
In addition, the bathroom floor was dirty (urine stained ? NOT mine), paint on the door frames was peeling and the ceiling in the bathroom was stained. Noise from street and room above. Otherwise room was satisfactory with fridge and microwave. Parking was tight. Uniformed police officer standing next to the lot entrance upon arrival gave me an immediate sense of ?what kind of misbehaving is going on here?.?
Will go to Owatonna or Dells next time.
