I Would Stay Here Again!

Great room, great air conditioning, great breakfast! Thought I would get the greats out of the way. Internet also worked fine. Had to make sure the hotel room door locked when door closed, also had a few missing light bulbs (time to switch to the new energy type!) . The orange extension cord that provided the power to the desk in the room looked a little strange. Room also had an iron, ironing board, and a box fan, all which we did not use. Missing was a hot cup to make coffee with the little one cup machine, but we just walked down to the breakfast buffet.
Just some tips. If you have a large car forget the parking garage. E-Z load/unload out in front of hotel, 24 hr self park just 1 block up the street past the YWCA that is $6 for 24 hours. Also, directly across the street is a parking garage that is $6 at night and $10 for the day. I used the self park for our second vehicle. PS if you use the parking garage, be sure you park in such a way to get in your drivers door. My wife had to crawl over the console to get in the car!
Staff was very friendly, gave us a great place to go to dinner, and got us an extra ticket for breakfast.
Hope this helps your decision. PS Looks brand new Days Inn hotel directly accross from convention center but rates were double. We spent about $118 per night for two. Mark & June Bethlehem, PA

What a bad stay

When entering we saw everything was under repairs. So not a good sign and were never informed about any repairs at all. The room was ok nothing fancy but our phone didnt work and we went down to the front desk to try to get a new on and some young girl told us it would be taken care of but it never was for our whole stay.(3 days) They were workers all around yelling and messing around having a blast. For us we were not. The elevators took a long time and always stoped at every level even if noone was there. There was only one working elevator 80% of the time and we took the stairs most of the time because we were tired of waiting. On check out day we waited 20min for the elevator and when if stopped it was full of workers goofing off. We walked all our bags down the stairs from the 5th floor. When talking to the front desk about it all they said was that one elevator was working. There were no sorries or concerns about it at all. The only upside was that they had a free simple breakfast buffet in the morning. Also all the vending machines on every floor were either out or not working. This Hotel had next to no standards and staffing was very poor.

Filthy, worst place I have ever seen!

Bed linens were dirty with hair and blood stains and no one would provide clean linens until morning. The shower was filthy with hair all through the bathroom. The carpets had not been swept for a while. We had 3 different rooms and they were all the same. The staff was not shocked when my whole conference party checked out the following morning and found other hotels to stay in. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is used as a dorm where students live on opposite floors than the hotel guests. Music was playing very loudly during our conference and was very distracting. I can go on and on.

Nightmare on Franklin Street

The hotel was a disgrace I cant figure out how they are still operating. None of the employees knew what they were doing and when it came to checking in, not one employee knew what room we requested and then... that room wasnt available abd then we were asked "Who we spoke to", What a disaster that weekend, My advice I gave to a group of over 300 cheerleaders, Look elsewhere even with the inconvience of having to drive maybe 5-10 minutes! (Vents had mold on them and the rooms smelled

Mount Vernon is a great hotel for the price. The staff is very friendly and the complimentary continental breakfast was great. The Hotel is located in historic part of Baltimore cose to the art museums and Baltimore cathedral.
