The hotel room we stayed in had a mildew smell in the restroom. Also, I got bitten by bed bugs. Checked my bed and found hairs that didn't belong to me. Was so ugged out that I didn't sleep the entire night. Was too tired the next morning to do other activities. Lost the entire day of my vacation because of all this.

Stayed in a premium deluxe ocean view room. One of best rooms and the breakfast buffet was quick and filling. Concierge service was not up to scale because they kept referring me to American Express Travel.
Overall experience was great. It was my first time to Hawaii and I loved it!

The rooms were fabulous, the setting gorgeous, they have millions of pools and great staff, the room service was better than any of the surrounding resturants, the beach was a little hard to swim on, but the snorkeling was phenominal, it was by far my best hotel experience ever. However i was not impressed with the spa at all and the food was very expensive.
Stay Somewhere Else

The property is very beautiful, and there are a only a few people there that still understand what it means to work in a service industry. The housekeepers were all very friendly and professional as well. However, dealing with the reservation here was nightmare from the beginning, as they refused to give us a lower rate that they had offered less than a week after we had booked initially. The attitude we received during our stay was that we were there to serve the hotel staff, no the other way around. When we returned on day 2 with several bags from the supermarket, five bellmen were simply standing around and didnt even greet us or offer to help - not what I would expect for this type of price and a supposed 5 star hotel. Immediately when we arrived on day 1, exhausted from nearly 15 hours of traveling, it was clear that there was some type of sewage back-up residue in the tubs in both of our rooms. There was no immediate apology, and the only response was to send a maid to clean it. A manager arrived after a second call, who did move us to a different room, but only after we specifically requested. Again, this is what one might expect from a 2-star, $100 budget hotel, not from a Westin. More problems encountered with the hold placed on our credit card from room charges that weren't ours, and a front desk worker that tried to make up a reason for their existence, even though the math of his explanation was totally off. Stay at one of the other beautiful hotels; if we could do it over, we would have stayed at the Hyatt again - beautiful renovation there. Avoid Westin Resort for anything above $*/night.

I stayed at the Westin with my husband and 2 children. Our room was really small and really expensive. I also agree with the other reviewers who said ti wasn't too clean. All of the food that I tried was over priced and of a lower quality. We rented the cabana which I thought was worth the large amount of money that we paid. I would not stay there again. There are so many nicer palces to stay that cost less or an equal amount of money. It wasn't too great!
