Worth the extra drive

The area was a little sketchy, but the hotel itself was a great value - everything was clean, the people were very friendly and the free breakfasts were better than I have had anywhere else. Besides a little extra drive to San Diego and a slightly dirty pool, I have no complaints.

This is hotel is defintely the best Choice hotel ever .. and I won't be exaggerating if I say its the best in San Diego... The rate is Motel six level, when the quality is Sheraton and Marriot's .. Breakfast is DELICIOUS! especially the sausage, eggs, and Belgian Waffles .. GREAT HOSPITALITY!

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and affordable. The staff were pleasant and helpful with directions on hand to all the major attractions. It is a bit isolated, being on the last exit before the Mexican border, but since you are less than 30 mins from everything San Diego on the US side, I didn't see it as a problem.

It is a great option because of the rooms and the kind staff they have.

I really think this hotel should be changed from 3 star to 5 stars. the rate was dirt cheap and the room was extra clean, well lit, and quiet. very nice staff and manager. I would go back to San Diego just to visit this hotel.
