Never Again!

First of all the actual Paramount Website say the hotel is newley renovated. When we and my party arrived there was scaffolding everywhere. Many of the entranced where blocked off, the bar was closed, and the restaurant was closed. It is apparent that they are not finished with the renovation. It is in excellent proximity to Times Square, resturants, and anything else you could imagine, but the quality of the hotel is poor. Housekeeping service was horrible. Each time I requested a certain # of towels they brought less. Check-in lines were long and the staff was not courteous until check out! I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for luxury. I am used to room service or at least an ice machine......they had none of this!

Ultra Small Rooms, Not Worth the Money

This hotel is near Times Square, but it is not a good choice. The rooms are ultra small - not much bigger than a double bed. For the price, you can do much, much better.

Reservation means NOTHING!

This hotel was booked 1 month in advance; however, when we arrived (late arrival was secured) "they did NOT have a room for us". So they were "sorry" but the manager didn't seem to care. They had a room at their "sister hotel" (8 blocks away). We didn't get past the lobby but even so I would not recommend this hotel! It is under renovation, maybe even finished?? Couldn't even find it the 1st three times we drove around because of all the scaffling out front. The lobby was so dark and it was an unpleasant atmosphere in my opinion. Hats off to their "sister" hotel, the DoubleTree Metroplitian. What started out to be a disaster (Paramount) ended in absolute satisfaction!

Sight seeing with friends

I was a little worried about all of the reviews I had seen on this sight but when my friends and I got to the hotel and saw the room it was exactly as it was pictured on this sight( it was very nice and clean). We did have a smell of fresh paint when we got off the elevator but the room was great and there was no smell. The only problem we had was on our last day we went to eat at the resturant in the hotel and wasn't told about the breakfast options and for the three of us to eat the Euro buffet it was *( which was a little shocking), however every thing else was great we called for towels at 12:00am and they brought more right up to our room. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and I would definitely stay again. The location was great we had Broadway on one side and time square on the other.

We had one of the worst experiences with this hotel. After an exhausting 2 hr drive we get there to check-in at 11:30 pm & keep in mind check-in starts at around 3pm they told us our room was not ready and to wait 10 mins. 10 mins became 1 hr so during our wait the only thing they offered us 1 free cocktail for our wait. Unfortunately, we were not dressed for a cocktail at the bar at NYC so we asked if we could have it in the lobby they said no! They wouldn't even give us a soda or water in place of cocktails. Then finally at 12:30am we get to our room and the there was no TV remote so we call and the front desk sends a maintenance man quickly to set the remote. After that the TV doesn't shut off with the remote or by manually pushing the TVs power button @ that point we just wanted to sleep so we tried to sleep with the bright lights of the big flat screen tv. Then we had to get an early start to our morning at 6am the shower barely drains so as you bathe you soak in your own filthy water. Then at check-out all we get is a sorry for your inconvenience & " I try to talk to the manager but I have no guarantees". Then we asked if we could leave our bags til we get back from our show and the clerk said sure that will be $4 but we asked if he could even waive the $4 for our troubles and NO! Staff is friendly though! u pay for a bed and roof over your head, kinda clean but room had a funny odor & dusty.
