Life in a closet

This is not the hotel for you if you are claustrophobic. The rooms are too tiny. We had a room with 2 single beds. The entire time we were there, the hotel key system did not work.We moved from the originally assigned room because there was a strong smell of urine as we entered. Our 2nd room had a dirty bedspread which was taken out at our request, but never replaced. the entire time. The key system didn't work during the 3 nights we spent. The only chair was a desk chair whichcould only be used if the bed was pushed out of the way.The closet was a small hole in the wall.

Needs renovations

The room was terrible - cramped and smelled moldy. It was worse when I laid in bed, I guess I was closer to the smelly carpet. The ac/heater was loud, sounded like hammers. The bathroom smelled moldy. Also, the cabinet doors holding the tv would not stay open - I used the ice bucket to keep one door from closing.

AC broke twice and finally moved to another room. The first room was small, the 2nd was even smaller. Probably where they send complainers. I reserved a queen/non-smoking-got a dbl. When questioned they said it was a '"NY queen"! Absolutely awful!!!

Best Western President Hotel

An excellent location, only a few steps from Broadway and Times Square. The rooms are clean (and i say rooms, because we have to move to another room because the first one had half carpet wet) and small (but which room in Manhattan is big? for that price, i mean).

Comfortable bed, closet big enough, two bedsides tables, t.v. and a desk, and a nice and small (again) bathroom. The staff is very kind and they speak several languages, and also they have a desk for tourist info (tickets for Broadway, taxis, limos or tourist brochure). The hotel has a restaurant, and a breakfast buffet, which i don't recommend because is very limited. Better walk a little bit and have breakfast in a restaurant, almost for the same price. In the same block there are 2 theaters, and from our window we can see the beginning of times square. Check out the pic.

It's worth the money you pay per night.
