We spent Christmas 2007 at the Outrigger & had an incredible time!! We spent lots of time on the beach & even more just walking on it. Christmas morning there was even a decorated tree with Santa passing out candy canes & wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Everything was within walking distance so there is no need for a car. The sights at Christmas were amazing We will be returning & will be staying right here!!!

Great Location in the Heart of Waikiki

Sitting right on the beach, this hotel is in a great location. You can walk from the hotel to everything you could ever need, including the international marketplace, which is right across the street. My room was incredibly comfortable and I enjoyed sitting on my balcony and watching the surfers below. I could even see sea turtles from my balcony! The beach is great -- I spent as much time as I could there soaking up sun and swimming in the lazy waves. The water temperature was perfect. You can also easily head to Duke's bar for mai tais and other tropical treats. The staff was always smiling and even though it was quite bustling out front, the valet was very quick with retrieving my car. All in all, a wonderful visit!

OutRigger Waikiki on the Beach

This hotel was awesome and my family and I had a wonderful vacation. My three sons (ages 15, 17 and 27) all went on this trip. The food in the hotel was very good in all the places we ate. The room was nice and all rooms have a partial view of the ocean so no need to pay for an Oceanfront Room! Hotel is nicely furnished and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The boys found things to do and met some of the locals who worked around the hotel and hung out on the beach with them. The hotel pool is small and you can taste the salt water in it - unlike some salt water pools but since it is right on the beach it didn't really matter. Big catamarans leave right from in front of the hotel for tours. Hotel is within walking distance of everything and there are lots of nice shops and restaurants within a one or two block radius of the hotel. You will need to rent chairs/umbrellas to sit on the beach so this is something you may want to be aware of in advance. Travelocity made this very easy and there were no unexpected surprises! You will definitely enjoy your stay here - Aloha!! :)
