Everything Was Nice

We had two Oceanfront rooms. The view is spectacular. The hotel is right across the street from the International Market, which was nice because we were able to walk across and shop for souvenier just whenever we had some extra time between thing. The beach is right there just past the pool. If you get out there early, you can get a chair in the shade of the palm trees right between the pool and the sand. We went on some tours and were picked up just two blocks away. I thought about renting a car, but I was glad that we didn't. Between walking, public bus, tour bus, and taxis, we didn't really need one. We enjoyed Duke's restaurant for dinner and several quick breakfasts at Seattle's Best - both attached to the hotel. Only one minor complaint - we asked for a new internet cable and the front desk said no problemm they would bring it, but nobody ever showed up. Other than that, service was excellent.

I spent a week at Pacific Beach and couldn't have been more pleased. As a business traveler it's important that I have ample easy parking, quality restaurants with convenient hours, a nice place to relax, and a safe place to take an evening walk. I had all of this at Pacific Beach! Everyone there was wonderful, the view was incredible and I can't wait to go back on my next business trip!

We just spent a week in paradise helped by the staff at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. The staff treated us like royalty. Whether it was directions for activities or restaurants, or arranging a cab to Tokkuri-Tei, no request was too small or big for them, and they always had a smile on their face...even when helping us fight with the ragtop on the Jeep! We stayed in a city view room which gave us a view of the city and when you step out on the balcony a view of the beach and the surf. I'd go back in a heartbeat!!

Convenient, Accessible, Considerate

The breakfast to go is an excellent idea! Every daily you can pack your own breakfast with the complimentary insulated bag that is waiting for you in your room and take it to the poolside or the beach that is just right across the street. I especially liked the variety they had everyday....they even had food to accommodate the Japanese tourists. They had the Hawaiian juices daily as well as haupia sampling. The hotel is easily accessible to Waikiki Beach, the Honolulu Zoo, usually there is a craft fair at Kapiolani Park, the Bus that takes you all over...right now the fare is $2.00/ride. If you don't mind walking, you can get to the center of Waikiki where you can have drinks at the top of the Sheraton....go during the day so you can get a wonderful view of Diamond Head and eat at the Cheesecake Factory down below. The free buses to Maui Divers and Hilo Hatties are just in front of the hotel. Make use of the coupon booklet. Received a free Del Sol bag by filling out the card and taking it to the store around the corner. There is a flat screen TV in the room and I had a bird's eye view of Diamond Head and the beach. Everything in the room worked, but the drainage was a little slow. The Honolulu Advertiser newspaper was made available to guests every morning. Even though my room was close to the elevator, you couldn't hear any noise from the elevator or people. For the price, it's a good deal!

would stay again at Outrigger Waikiki

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was so friendly and ready to help and answer questions. The location was right in the middle of everything. The food at the Outrigger Waikiki was good and worth the money and was reasonable. The food at some of the other places was very high and it is a good ideal to find some of the familiar palces like Burger King etc. They are there close by, you just have to ask where they are. Eating at cheaper places in between is a good ideal. If you like Pizza, then eat at the Round Table. It is one block down east and to the left one half block. The Cheesecake Factory is west and right next door. Cheesburger in Paradise is 6 blocks east. The prices at the flea market are good---check them out. Don't buy anything when you first arrive because you may find it cheaper somewhere else. The international Market does have good prices also and is across the street from the Outrigger Waikiki. Would recommend the Outrigger Waikiki as a great hotel to stay at. Was greatly dissapointed in the Little Island Tour. It took half the time to get out of Traffic. Our driver said she was going to do the tour backwards because of the traffic. She only made two stops and flew by everything else. Was so dissapointed that I did not take any more tours. But did go to the Polynesian Center for the all day and show at night. It was great.
