Smoke obvious in a non-smoking hotel

This hotel is posted as a non-smoking hotel but the second we walked out of the elevator onto the 3rd floor it reaked of stale smoke. The smell got much worse when we turned on the air conditioner in the room. Luckily I had room spray with me and used it on the bedding as well as the air intake on the a/c unit. It helped enough for me to sleep. When we got back home and unpacked, all my articles smelled of smoke. YUCK!Also, there was gum on the walls, urine on the base of the toilet and the carpet was disgusting.
