What Luxury!

We were pleasantly surrised by the luxuries like down comforters, robes & slippers and very large room. It was also very quiet and we loved the decor. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar and the friendly staff. We came for a Brewer's game and State fair and look forward to staying again.

An Excellent Choice

I reviewed the personal comments from area hotels. Chose the Ambassador as it scored high. Now I know why. No hint of cigarette smoke. The 1930's art deco decor is simply a pleasure to the eye. Exceptionally quiet. My room had a designers touch. The bed was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place. Did not have time to try the restaurant or bar.

best deal in town!

Truly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Rooms were amazing-elegant with historic charm. I could not believe how reasonably priced everything was. Dinner and brekfast were superb and the martinis in the bar were generous and prepared to perfection! As far as we are concerned, we will not stay anywhere else when our travels take us to Milwuakee. Cheers to the staff for such a great stay! The bed- HEAVEN

My family fell in love with this hotel. The art deco style was wonderful. Rooms were plush and clean. Restaurant was delicious -- both dinner and breakfast. One of the better hotels we have stayed at. The hotel is beautifully restored. Is a little further out of town, but they were happy to offer the shuttle to take you anywhere in town. We did not use it. Had no trouble parking our car in the city.

Pleasure and Pain

The pleasure - delighted with decor and free shuttle service to Miller Park and downtown. Bar staff and drinks were lovely. The pain - full size beds instead of queens, incessant beeping every minute all night long due to a faulty fire detector drywalled over in the remodel as well as the fire detector on the ceiling, clogged tub drain so you are showering with water to your calves, and slow-to-act hotel staff when asked to check out the problems. Will never stay there again, but props to our shuttle driver!
