We stayed one night here on our way to Wisconsin. Very clean, very accessible to the rest of the city. Beds were very comfortable, staff was exceptional, the free breakfast was very good, and the kids had fun in the pool - all at a very reasonable price. Can't ask for more.
Great place for Family to Stay; clean and friendly.

We stayed with our two children, ages 13 and 9, while visiting Springfield. It was family-friendly, clean and bright. My husband had forgotten his computer cord, but there were two computers in lobby so could check his email, which was great. Lobby nice and clean. The kids loved the pool. The room was clean and not 'worn out.' A complimentary hot breakfast was available in the lobby and could take coffee to go from there. Lots of restaurants right near the restaurant...as well as a Target, which was handy as forgot swim goggles! Try the Monicals Pizza, which is about 1/2 mile away...it's great. Highly recommend hotel.

We came for the weekend to see the sights. We had two adults and two kids, 13 and 9. We were pleasantly surprised that this hotel was so nice. Nice new furniture in dark cherry, free internet, pool for the kids, comfortable beds. We were close to several restaurants. They were mostly chains, but still decent. I hadn't been to Springfield since I was a kid. We loved seeing all of the historic and government sights. Spent all day Sat and Sun and saw almost everything. We were surprised at how nice the War Memorials were. Don't miss them. We were also surprised at how run down Springfield is. I'm so glad we didn't stay in one of the downtown hotels because I wouldn't have felt safe at night. It was an easy drive from the Hampton Inn to the sights in the downtown area. The hotel's location was in a nicer area with newer businesses.

My only disappoint with the Hampton in Springfield happened on Sunday. I asked at the front desk about checking out later than 12 noon, but was told I could only extend it to to 12:15. This did not set well with me because I was hoping to check out by 1:30 or 2 p.m.
