Nice Stay Overall, Just a few thoughts for families

Overall this is a very nice hotel. The decor is modern so that the rooms don't have a lot of direct lighting. We were on the 21st floor and we had a nice view of the Chicago River and Michigan avenue. For families take into consideration that there are not sleeper sofas in the regular rooms. We have three children and had to bring in two twin rolling beds in addition to the king bed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The workout room is larger than expected with a good variety of equipment. The location is great for Michigan avenue shopping, theatre, Museum of art and Centennial Park. Also easy access to the Lakeside running trail. Also a number of small bakeries and coffee shops are within a block or two. Sears tower is a long walk but my young kids did fine.

Overall a great experience. A little bit pricey perhaps, but I felt it was worth it. Very clean hotel, modern decor. No need for a car, it's just a short walk to the subway. Staff was friendly, and most important, it was quiet. I think there were some minor renovations taking place, but I barely noticed.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Michigan Avenue. Very clean and modern, staff was very helpful. The room was very cool with a picture of John and Yoko right above the toilet! Kind of expensive, but we'd stay there again.

I have been wanting to stay at the Hard Rock since it opened. What a disappointment. Rooms are late 70s-early 80s modern - very much like the restaurants. Only reason to stay here is its proximity to Millenium/Grant Park.

loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Cool decor, spotless room, perfect location. Wish we had gotten one of the rooms with a view, though. I think it would've been worth the extra cost.
