Overnighter

This is a great overnighter motel. It is clean, staff is courteous and cares, close to the beach, room had fresh paint and new carpet and a decent TV. Beds were comfortable, decor is what you would expect and was new. Free Wi-Fi. Very average room. Due to the weekend, it was expensive but also one of the cheapest motels in the area. The pool was a highlight which was heated and had two waterfalls going into the Jacuzi. The only negatives were the bathroom and view out back. The view out back had the ocean and mountains in the distance, but below was a junk yard of RV's and boat - many in bad condition. However this is a budget hotel. The bathroom door was broken and the fan was very loud. These were minor and all in all I was pleased. The staff took note and a genuinely believe they will be fixed. Very good overnighter or even for a few days.

Friendly staff!

Hotel staff was absolutely wonderful. A very friendly bunch. Hotel room was neat and clean. Pool area was awesome! Loved this hotel and will stay there again in the future, no doubt.

Would stay again for the rate

We stayed one night to visit the Cal Poly campus and I was a bit nervous given the mixed reviews and super low rate. The staff was friendly, and more importantly the room was clean (looked like recent new carpet, bedding, drapes). There is a decent size fridge and microwave in the room which we didn't use but nice for future reference. The beds were pretty comfy. There was definately some traffic noise -- didn't bother us but it might bother some. The breakfast was a decent muffins/juice/cereal/coffee, just what we expected. The staff kept everything restocked well. Overall very satisfied with our stay and would stay again -- especially for the low rate. Convient location near Starbucks, restaurants, shops and 15 minute from Cal Poly -- though right off the freeway so a little noisy.

I highly recommend it.....

We stayed for the weekend of 3/8/09. I was glad to have made the choice to stay here. Nothing fancy but it was certainly clean. X who checked us in was great. And evening agent (I can't remember the name) was very informative about the area and helped us avoid tourist traps & great places for dining. The hotel was good find. Kids had lot of fun in the pool & hot tub with water fall. I agree with the last tripadvisor review...... Why is the hotel rated so low? It was clean & comfortable and I think THE BEST value for money spent compared to other hotels in the area. I think they should be charging at least $* more per night.

Great value
