This hotel is centrally located - right accross from Union square (near all major shopping stores), short bus ride to Fisherman's Wharf, and few blocks (up hill) to China Town. The only problem was the room. It was small and dated. It looked like it was an old apartment building that had been converted to a hotel. Our room faced the alley way and was very noisy. If you decide to take the bart to this hotel be aware that the terminal is very busy (crowed with pan handlers). Walking up the street with my luggage made me feel uneasy (was being followed).

We have been to SF many times, Villa Florence was recommended by friend. Hotel is perfect location parking pricy $35/day. Trolley out front door, Union Square and all SF a few steps away. Staff very friendly and helpful though check-in slow. Room spacious, clean and nicly appointed. Most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Evening wine tasting great, we discovered very good, moderate priced wine we will purchase again. Kuleto's is FABULOUS and well priced. We will definately be back!

The hotel has excellent ubication, you can walk trought the union square. The room only need renovation.

A beautiful hotel, with a spacious and quiet room, super-comfortable bed, friendly staff, and charming lobby. Wine bar reception is great. Union Square location is excellent, near shopping, theatre, restaurants, and cable-car turnaround (the only stop you'll be sure of getting on). Restaurant is pricey, but incredible food. Also try the Cafe Mason around the block.

This location can't be beat, on Powell St between Union Square and the BART station. Take BART from the airport for $5.15 and walk to the hotel. The excellent restaurant off the lobby also operates a bakery/deli open all day for breakast pastries or snacks. Friendly and helpful staff.
