For the money, the hotel was GREAT! Parking is a bit pricy but I guess that's normal for Chicago. Would have liked wireless access in the room, rather than having to use a common area. Restaurants had convenient hours. All of the staff was professional, helpfull, and provided excellent customer service. I would definately stay there again. I recommend a 'city view' room.
good value

beautiful clean rooms, great friendly service, food at hotel restaurants delicious (if a little pricey...but what can you expect for a big city?)...worked out well forme as my professional conference I was attending was across the street, otherwise transportation uptown is by bus or taxi (supposedly there is a METRA train station on location but couldn't find it)
Nice Hotel, Great Service!

My stay at the Hyatt Regency was wonderful! We arrived well before the 4PM check-in time and were immediately directed to our room. This was great becuase we were ready start sight seeing. The complimentary shuttle brought us to our destinations every evening, the driver was FAB! She went out of her way to drop us off as close to our spots as possible. While the shuttle technically only drops off at three stops, the driver will make special stops if you ask. Our driver recieved lots of tips! Internet is NOT free, although the website says that it is! I lost my cell phone at the conference the hotel was hosting and make two long distance calls...totalled over 30.00 for about 5 minuted worth of calls! We never ate in the hotel, but peeped at the menu. Very pricey!
Overall, great stay! Very clean rooms, pretty large. Not located close to any restaraunts or shops. You'll have to take a cab, bus, or the shuttle. Utilize the free shuttle!!! You have to sign up for it ahead of time. It runs once an hour...if you're planning an evening trip, sign up early. These spots tend to fill up quick! Shuttle does not return you to the hotel though. It only drops you of...you'll have to take the bud (#3South) back to the hotel or hail a cab!
Great Trip...

Chicago is a great city, for someone who wants to see Chicago, using public transportation this hotel location is great. The bus stops right in front of the hotel, going south and north.
