This hotel was comfortable, quiet, and located in a vibrant neighborhood with easy access, on foot or by bus or car, to all the highlights of the city, as well as a short drive to the Golden Gate bridge and beautiful beaches and trails of the Marin Headlands, beyond. Rooms were well equipped with everything we needed to stay a full week - refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, iron and ironing board. Good cable tv and in-room wireless internet were also very much enjoyed. Lots of shopping and food choices all around. Parking was a major premium, and available on a first come, first served basis - we never had trouble snagging a spot. Front desk was very friendly and pleasant to interact with, and housekeeping was thorough. Fantastic deal for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was great! Exactly what we were looking for. The room was clean and recently renovated. This bathroom was clean and nice, with a nice, new showehead. Microwave and a fridge in the room too! And you can't beat the location. Close to Chesnut Street, Union Street and a lot of good bus routes.

Took my daughter for her first trip to Cal, Stayed here because it is located near many sites to drive to. Rooms were big also frig in rooms coffee maker etc. Pretty safe area, nice laundry attached. Would stay here again. Small breakfast in morning a plus. Not good for children, handicap or elderly ask for room on ground floor.

great location great bargain for the price. had a large room on the thrid floor away from the street. #318 request if possible.as abase camp it was easy to come and go very good restaurant next door. on the next block over on chestnut is the chestnut st. dinner great breakfast for a low price its open 7 days aweek 7-3 this a really good hotel. in San francisco stay cheap. eat expensive see the sights

Very basic, cheap accomodation. great location to lombard st. and the presidio. You get what you pay for, but it suited our needs perfectly. Nice and cheap
