Excellent Location and Staff

Great location, near all the important sites in central Paris. Honestly, you'd be hard pressed to find a hotel in this district for such a low price.

A little off the beaten path, but perfectly fine

The Au Grand Hotel Francais was perfectly fine and had a very friendly front desk staff. The rooms are being remodeled (we were the first occupants of our room after remodel) in a stylish modern decor. I loved the multispray shower - one of the sprays hit just the right spot in my lower back! The hotel is a little off the beaten path, but in a nice, quiet neighborhood and close to a metro / RER station making it as close to all of the Paris attractions as most any other hotel not within walking distance of the Eiffel tower. I thought that this hotel was a good value (by Paris standards) and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

excellent experience and would return again

The hotel was charming. We were nervious going to a new unknown city and choosing a hotel on line. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room ,though smaller by US standards, was well designed, attractive, and very clean. The bed was comfortable We will return.

Great hotel for the price

I chose this hotel based on the price and good reviews. This was our first trip to Paris and the staff was EXTREMELY helpful with telling us how to get around Paris. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms are small, clean and comfortable and the lobby has a nice little bar for a late night wine or espresso. From the Nation Metro station you can get to just about anywhere in Paris in roughly 20 minutes. There are are many nice cafes and restaurants in the immediate area. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to first time visitors and couples.
