I originally booked at the Sea Tac based on some good reviews on the travel website site--but the morning of the day we arrived- I decided to look at other site reviews-which were horrible- I tried to change my reservation- but the travel website rep-who sounded like she was from a far away land-- said it was too late to get a refund for that day--so since we had just tent camped---I thought--how bad could it be? 1. Heavy smoke and urine odor---it was fully booked- and we could not change the room-it was later in the evening too---so we went to dinner and tried to air it out-- 2. We pulled down the bedspread- and the blankets were covered with burn holes! On BOTH beds! 3. There wasn't a fitted sheet on the beds- or mattress covers- so laying on the sheets uncovered the stained mattresses beneath---disgusting! 4.My son took a shower and said there was "stickiness" on the bottom of the tub! 5. Noisy busy street- questionable neighborhood. 6. It listed fridge and microwave--had NOTHING- I had to sign out a blow dryer at the office. The next day we left the window open and burned a bunch of incense, left early for the city--stayed out all day and came back late so we could catch our early flight out. There wasn't even a clock- so we used our phone. 7. We left all of our luggage in the car because of the smell and possibility ***The only good thing was the Emerald Thai resturant next door---the best Thai food we've ever had--and the owners were really friendly and warm.
Cheap Place to Crash, But Not Much Else

When visiting Seattle I was looking for a cheap place to crash for the night while I spent all day exploring the city. Being from Des Moines, IA I was amused to stay at a hotel in Des Moines, . It wasn't bad, but just okay. Location wise it's about an hours bus ride to all the action downtown, tho the buses run fairly often and it's right by a bus stop. In my room I was disappointed to find a lack of certain basic essentials that I take for granted, like a pen and pad of paper, a TV channel lineup guide, and drain stoppers in the bathtub and sink. Never been to a hotel without drain stoppers before... Good thing I prefer showers over baths when visiting hotels. I only went for breakfast the last day when I checked out, all they had was a banana and prepackaged bear claws, tho I was kind of expecting that based on other reviews I had read previous to my trip. They had a universal remote control, and not all the features worked, like the sleep timer. They had the standard ugly-as-can-be hotel bedding, that was of average comfort. They didn't have an alarm clock either. I would stay there again if I was once again looking for a cheap place to stay at night while away all day, but if I planned on lounging around in the evening, etc. I would stay elsewhere.
No airport shuttle

My fault , but I assumed that there would be a shuttle from the airport to the motel. If you are flying into SEATAC don't stay here unless you want to pay for a taxi to and from the motel. Because of my late cancellation no refund. Good lesson-don't make assumptions, find it in print before making reservation.
Great value!

This hotel was perfect for what I needed-- a stay near the airport for an early morning flight, with free wireless internet, at a great price. Other reviewers commented on the cigarette burns in the room carpet and furnishings-- yes, smokers have treated this place badly. But the room itself was squeaky clean. The staff is available 24 hours and was incredibly pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again!
As basic as it gets.

This is definitely a "no frills" motel. You get what you pay for.
Here are the pros and cons of this motel.
Pros:
Cheap Rooms
Friendly Staff
Free WiFi
1 block from EZ rent a car (super cheap rentals there, and good cars too) Got a PT cruiser for $8 a day!
Cons:
Sits on noisy International Blvd.
Sits just off the takeoff path of Sea-Tac runway 16L (airplane noise)
No Clock Radio in Room
No Iron / Ironing Board in Room
Not even a pen and paper in the room!
The shower head height must have had midgets in mind. Had to struggle to wet my hair down (I'm 6'1")
Soda vending machine was completely sold out of everything, EVERYTHING!
The Thai restaurant next door (10% discount for motel guests) was a ripoff and the service was lousy (food was okay though)
Towels in the bathroom had some kind of funky burnt smell to them
Folks, if all you need is a cheap place to "crash" while you're in Seattle, this is the place, just remember to bring ear plugs and a white noise machine to kill all of the noise surrounding this place. You most definitely will want to rent a car (I recommend EZ rent a car 1 block away), there's not much around this place for a few blocks (other than the ripoff Thai food place next door and a shady little convenience store across the street).
