I stayed at the Hampton Inn Athens to attend a student art show for my daughter's boyfriend.
It was close enough to the University to be convenient, although not close enough to walk.
The room was very nice, although a little cramped for a family. Luckily, I was alone on this trip. It seems to have been newly renovated with business travelers in mind, and was very plush. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet. AC worked very well, easy to regulate. Everything was spotless. I was late checking out, and got no hassles.
Breakfast was very good.
Only complaint - hotel guide said there was a snack machine on the 1st floor, but it wasn't there. I was a little hungry, and had to make do with a soda.
