A Nightmare of a stay!!!!

Recap of my 5 nights..... First night air conditioning not up to par. By morning I was laying on top of all the sheets sweating. I called to have it fixed. The responded immediately but told me it would be easier to switch rooms. The front desk told me it would be hours till I could get another room. When I switched I left my GPS in the old room and by the time I got back to it the maid had obviously confiscated it. The hotel could have cared less. They promised security would follow up with me...they never did. They couldnt even change the name the room was under, even though I told them 4 times that my room was listed under the person who reserved the room. This in turn messed up the billing for the internet because it wouldnt let me bill to the room because of the name difference...every day I want internet it took a 20 min phone call to the provider. Even when I checked out they still didn't get the name right. To compensate me for my stolen GPS they credited me $20 of internet service haha are you kidding?
Great TV but watch out when a commercial comes on....the volume is 3 times louder than the show...it almost makes watching the tv unbearable. Enough of these pretentious hotel chains give me a motel 6 anyday over this place!!
Excellent

This was the best place to stay to see the BobCats game. We could see the arena from our room and it was a very short walk. The room was very nice and clean. My 7 year old loved the plasma TV. For the price you can't beat it.
Do not order room service!

I took a little get away with my friends for a bacholorette party. I usually love Hilton hotels! The room was nice, and the staff was nice... but the room service food was not good! On Saturday it wasn?t that bad. My friend got soup and spinach/artichoke dip. Which was okay for room service. The dinner prices were reasonable. On Sunday morning we decided that we didn't want to venture out to try to find somewhere to eat, we just wanted to lay in bed and order room service! Well, everyone?s food was awful! I had possibly the most awful oatmeal I have ever tasted. My friends ordered omelets, which were okay, but they messed up the order, the toast/biscuits were cold, the potato were cold, and on top of all of that the prices for breakfast were CRAZY expensive! At least the staff was friendly and they had a cute two cup coffee makers in each room with yummy coffee.
They could have done better for the money...

We stayed three nights for a convention (the NAB Radio Show). From a convenience standpoint, the hotel's great...just two minutes from the hotel to the entrance of the convention center. For a four star hotel, however, I wasn't impressed. No water fountains anywhere to be found..I had to fill up out of a funky tap in the room, and also had to get water from the restuarant (the waitress took pity on me and gave me two bottles of "imported" water, bless her heart). Cellphone coverage (I'm on Verizon) was terrible in the room...lots of dropouts. Be aware that, while they do have WiFi, they also charge a one time fee of $* and don't tell you until it shows up on your bill. I complained about it, and they took it off. They have a nice, LG HDTV in our room, and it would have been nice if it had any HD content. Television looked just horrible on this beautiful set. One final thing...we asked for either king or queen size bed (since my wife and I were traveling together). All they could give us was a pair of doubles (they said becuase we booked through Travel agent). Needless to say, sleeping two in a double is not the way to get a good night's sleep. Neither of us slept well at all the entire trip. I can't really blame it on the hotel, but just be careful how you book and what you ask for. All in all, it's a nice enough hotel, but I don't think it deserves the 4 stars and probably is more expensive than it should be. I should have stayed at a nearby hotel...less money, not quite so convenient, and probably more a better value for the money.
We'd stay there again!

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, with comfy beds and a terrific shower! The location was perfect for walking to just about anywhere in Center City. The only drawback was all the cigarette butts outside on the plaza. The smokers need an ashtray and the hotel staff needs to be more vigilant about cleaning the area.
