Grandvista Cedar Woods Resort

Best Things Nearby:
Outlet malls were just down the hill. Shows about five to ten minutes away. Good dining all around.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very convenient to everything. Personnel were at your beck-n-call. Very helpful also, especially if you have a problem. I highly recommend it.

Resort Experience:
We had a lower unit with a view of the hills and part of the city. The pool was very pretty with a small waterfall in the middle. Games were available all the time. There is a nature walk on the premises with a waterfall that has a small sitting area. Very nice and quiet.

Our condo had a whirlpool bath that was most enjoyable, especially after a hike in the woods. The kitchen is very well stocked, and if you need something extra, ask and they will get it for you. Very tastefully decorated also.

The Woods decor are as they sound--rooms full of beautiful logs and luxurious furniture. Log cabins are also available that are very roomy. The resort is located in the middle of the city, which makes it nice to get around during the busy season.

Best Things Nearby:
Outlet shopping, shows, restaurants, water park, Celebration City. . .everything.

Best Things About the Resort:
The Woods is close to everything. Lots of things to do for kids. This is a great family resort.

Resort Experience:
The resort itself has a very rustic feel. The RCI trades get the older section of the resort but the units are still very nice. Our two-bedroom unit was huge. My husband and I had the master suite which had its own bath and seperate whirlpool and the kids had their own "lock off" unit which included a mini kitchen and full bath.

I highly recommend going to the Owner/RCI Guests Dinner on Monday evening. Great buffet for $6 (adults) and $4 (kids 4-11) The resort even brings in Branson entertainers. The Duttons, Jim Owen, The Hughes Brothers, and Delene and Tonya Shay from Keepin' It Country were all part of the entertainment. Denny Yeary was even the MC for the evening. A representative from Thousand Hills Golf Course came to the dinner and told about his golf resort and handed out some discount coupons. As far as that goes, all the entertainers that were at the dinner handed out coupons.

Other activities the resort offers are Ice Cream Floats (M), Kids Crafts (T,W,TH), and karaoke by the pool with hot fudge and caramal sundaes for $1. Makeover, Ride the Ducks come to the resort and pick up passengers at the resort. My son made a birdhouse at one of the craft sessions and it was really nice. The cost was $7. There is also a nature trail. Not real well marked but a nice way to spend a hour at the resort.

There is also shuffleboard, basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes right by the pool. The main pool is beautiful. There was also a smaller pool by our unit which was much smaller than the main pool. We spent most of our time at the main pool.

Very nearby to shows and the view is breathtaking.

Best Things About the Resort:
Lovely screen patios with wonderful, peaceful views.

Resort Experience:
The resort was very well maintained and centrally located. It had wonderful large stone fireplaces and the location is on the mountaintop, so it is very romantic and relaxing - or family oriented - whatever you want it to be.
