Rooms were very clean, bedding was extremely comfortable. The suite was handy, too. Two different television sets so in the early morning the kids could sneak into the other room without disturbing anyone. Our room was near the bank of elevators and we didn't hear any noise of people walking around. There is a fire station close by, and there was one time where we heard a ambulance/fire engine.
My kids loved the indoor pool and my husband and I loved the free cocktail hour. Everyone enjoyed the free, hot continental breakfast.
Overall, we have no complaints and would stay again.

Great large rooms, very clean hotel, wonderful indoor pool, excellent free breakfast, free parking, free shuttle service, very close to Plaza. Bathrooms are small, and price for two beds over one seems more than it should be.
Great hotel with kids/teens

We are a regular visitor to Kansas City because of the wide variety of entertinment available. We ALWAYS stay at the Embassy Suites Plaza hotel. As parents of 13 & 16 year old boys, we need a room that works. The cost of two rooms is always restrictive, and packing us in one room ruins all of our weekend. The suites at the Embassy are perfect, with two rooms with their own TV and a door which closes between them, the parents and the kids get a little privacy, and at much less cost than two separate rooms. The Embassy Plaza is very attractive and spacious in it's common areas, with room to relax and stretch. The included breakfast saves us money, especially the way teenage boys can eat! The complimentary drinks in late afternoon are a great way to unwind, and the kids enjoy the free pop & popcorn. The pool is big enough to burn off some energy. The entire hotel is very clean, and the staff is friendly. The beds are comfortable, the TV's come with the always present game system, which soaks up a couple hours as the boys get sleepy at night. Access to the Country Club Plaza is about a 3 block walk through an enjoyable neighboorhood, scenic parks and fountains. The Plaza is a day long attraction of its' own, packed full of esoteric shops, higher end clothing stores, and bars, cafes and restaurants of every type and style, from comfortable Irish pubs finished in brass and dark wood, to white linen tablecloth restaurants serving exceptional 5-course dinners. Wandering the 25 square blocks can take a day without even noticing it. Walk the other direction from the hotel and you're in Westport, and area of art & crafts, and more restaurants. Go!
