Fun time in NYC

My daughter and I went to NYC for a family event and we shared a room. We got a great price from travel website! The hotel was clean and elegant and the staff was very nice. I did however get rattled when I received a bill for room service. Breakfast for 2 was $70. The food was delicious, but not worth that much money. On the whole we enjoyed our stay and it was in a great location for sight seeing! I would stay there again in a heart beat.

I really enjoyed the hotel from the moment we arrived we were happy with the lobby, the attention to detail in the rooms (great atmosphere with crown molding & feature head board wall). Very nice bar & restaurant. Excellent location with subway around the corner and Dunkin donuts for coffee at the corner. This hotel was priced extremely reasonable via travel website and I would recommend it to all my friends. Another couple upgraded to the larger King suite but were were fine with the standard room, I would rather spend my money in NYC versus the little square footage. The quality of the rooms were the same in comparison.

We were completely satisfied with our stay at the Carlton. We received a free room upgrade when we checked in and the room was spacious and luxurious, too. The staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful when we had questions or requests. The hotel itself is beautiful -1920's Art Deco- and in a convenient mid-Manhattan location. We will definitely stay here again!
Girls trip to NY

This is a nice hotel. Rooms look like the picture but smaller- it was a stretch to find places to store two people's suitcases...would be difficult for a family or four adults. The beds were so very comfy! No flat screen tv. Very quiet. Very clean. Friendly staff. Requests for ice were prompt. Did not see a pool. Location is a little out of the way. Transportation to/from airports was easy via shuttle. There's a spa, a little store, and a Dunkin Doughnuts next door, a couple of good breakfast places nearby. Subway is not in an extra convenient location- especially at night for women- taxis are better, but we also walked down Madison and felt safe. Overall, a good choice for the first girls' trip. Would recommend it to others, but will try another hotel closer to Midtown for my next trip.

We were unsure of what to expect for what me and my wife paid. It turned out to be a great value with the quality of service as the conditions of the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. The hotel is located near a subway station but not too close. Finally, the staff was extremely helpful and did not make you feel a need to tip for grabbing the door or hailing a taxi. Overall great hotel and location is in the heart of Manhatten. Kudos to the Carlton, may not be the Ritz but was good nonetheless.
