Our room was spacious, homey, and clean. The manager went out of his way to make sure our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Our weekend was a wonderful, pleasant retreat. We definitely recommend staying there if you're in the area.

Staying here is like staying with family because it's owners make you feel welcome the minute you approach the desk. Their establishment is exceptionally clean and well cared for. Even tho we stay only on one weekend a year when attending an Iowa football game, they have the uncanny ability of remembering us and are pleased to see us again. And upon checking out, we are invited to stop in for a chat and/or a cup of coffee whenever we are in the area. That's the kind of hospitality that keeps us coming back to our favorite inn - and inn keepers!

Staying here was like being at home. We enjoyed the convenience of the location for excellent restaurants and shopping. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool and hospitality. We would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises and highly recommend it to anyone we know that may be going to that area.
Filthy and unsafe!

My family and I stayed here for one night during a cross-country trip. Our first room was unacceptable--the bathtub was stained with mold, the shower was broken, the shower curtain was mildewed, and the toilet was not seated properly. The room had not been vacuumed, and there were what I presume to be bedbugs in the beds. While they were making up another room for us, I took my children to the pool. It looked like it had not been cleaned in years--the bottom of the pool was chunky and brown! No swimming for us. Our next room was not much better than the first, though we didn't find any bedbugs. However, the bathroom was still filthy, the floor had not been vacuumed, there was mold clearly growing inside the AC unit, and the blankets and comforters were stained. Both the front and back doors had key-card access, but neither worked and both doors were open all night long despite what the front desk told us. As if it mattered given the rest of the problems with the room, none of the advertised amenities (coffee, coffeemaker, soap, etc.) were there, either. We asked for a price reduction on the room because it was still not clean and were told they did not give reduced rates. The room was so bad that we considered sleeping in the car at a rest stop instead! If I could give zero "bars" below, I would. Save yourself some aggravation and avoid this hotel.

Sandi is a wonderful host. He made sure all was okay. I can honestly say, after staying at several different hotels from CA to WI, his was one of the cleanest. It may not be the newest on the block, but he and his family are doing their best to keep things affordable for travelers. Sandi suggested a couple places for dinner. The one we chose fed us one of the largest meals we received on our trip! Private Pool not open to the public. Close to outlet shopping and the Amana Colonies. We would stay again.
